This makes me hope the game comes to Switch soon. The "3D World" style is no slouch either, as this game has literally everything from that game, but all in 2D parts, and to my surprise, it actually might be one of my new favorite styles thanks to the amount of unique things it brings to the table, and for "3D World" being one of the best highlights of the Wii U's library, it's all the more sweeter that all the assets are here and accounted for. The fact that every enemy, no matter which one works in every style besides "3D World", even if they weren't present in the original games, is amazing as well. The inclusion of sand, winter, sky, and night themes, even in games where they weren't originally in is just amazing. The level editor is very robust and much more easier to navigate, thanks to the categorized wheels, the online functionality is here and better than ever, thanks the Switch having a bigger community than that of the Wii U, every style is phenomenal, especially the newly included one for "Super Mario 3D World", the story mode is fantastic with excellent level design and ample amount of charm and humor, courseworld is every bit as great as I wanted it to be and more, and the amount of new stuff added makes this the definitive Mario maker. Everything I want is here and accounted for, as well as even more that makes this that much more sweeter. I knew that the very minute I saw the trailer for this game earlier this year that I would have it, and after finally picking it up, it actually might be one of the best Switch games I've ever played up to this point, right alongside Mario Odyssey and Smash Ultimate. Thankfully, in late June, my dreams of experiencing that bliss has come true, and even more. It wasn't bad, as the level maker and modes were there, but the lack of the online functionality makes the 3DS version completely miss the mark entirely, making it a mediocre at best release. I got the 3DS version, but that version just plain sucked. It was essentially a never ending game, and because I didn't have a Wii U, I never got to experience that bliss. I remember jealously seeing so much coverage on it seeing how intuitive it was to make the levels and how there were millions of levels that were getting uploaded every day. As someone who's part of the majority who don't have a Wii U, one game that hurt me drastically to not be able to experience in its entirety was the first "Super Mario Maker".
